The Basics of Space Weather
What is the Kp Index and how does it affect me?
The Kp Index is a scale used to characterize the magnitude of geomagnetic storms. In simple terms, it measures how much the Sun's activity is disturbing the Earth's magnetic field. High Kp levels (5 and above) indicate solar storms that can cause vivid auroras, disrupt satellite communications, and, for many sensitive individuals, cause a sense of "bio-resonance" or physical fatigue. Learn more about the Kp Index.
What are Solar Flares and why should I track them?
Solar flares are sudden explosions of energy on the Sun's surface. They release a massive burst of radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum. We track them because these energy bursts reach Earth in minutes, potentially impacting human nervous systems, circadian rhythms, and overall energetic "frequency." View current solar activity.
How does the Schumann Resonance impact human biology?
Often called the "Earth's Heartbeat," the Schumann Resonance is a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field. Research suggests that human brainwaves often synchronize with these frequencies. When the resonance "spikes" due to lightning or solar activity, people often report changes in sleep patterns, mood, and mental clarity. Monitor the Schumann Resonance live.
True Sky vs. Traditional Systems
Why is my "True Sky" sign different from my traditional zodiac sign?
Most traditional systems (Tropical) are based on a fixed calendar created 2,000 years ago. However, due to the Precession of the Equinoxes, the Earth's orientation to the stars has shifted by about 24 degrees. "True Sky" alignment uses the Sidereal perspective, which looks at the actual, visible positions of the planets against the constellations as they appear in the sky today. Read our methodology.
What is Ophiuchus, the 13th constellation?
While traditional systems use a 12-sign grid for simplicity, the Sun's actual path (the ecliptic) passes through thirteen constellations. Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer, sits between Scorpius and Sagittarius. If you were born between November 30th and December 17th, the Sun was physically in Ophiuchus at the time of your birth. Learn more about the 13-sign zodiac.
Why are the signs in Frequency Forecast different sizes?
In reality, constellations are not equal 30-degree slices. For example, the Sun spends about 45 days in the massive constellation of Virgo, but only 7 days in the narrow constellation of Scorpius. Our model reflects these actual astronomical boundaries to ensure the data you see is a true reflection of the heavens.
Why isn't Ophiuchus included in traditional astrology?
The Babylonians who created the 12-sign zodiac around 500 BCE knew about Ophiuchus but excluded it to create a mathematically convenient 12-sign system that aligned with their 12-month calendar. Each sign was assigned exactly 30 degrees.
What is the difference between tropical and sidereal zodiac?
The tropical zodiac is fixed to the seasons (equinoxes and solstices), while the sidereal zodiac tracks the actual star constellations. Due to Earth's axial precession, these systems have drifted apart by about 24 degrees over 2000 years.
Which zodiac system is "correct"?
Both systems have validity for different purposes. Tropical astrology emphasizes seasonal/psychological archetypes, while sidereal astrology aligns with the actual stars. At Frequency Forecast, we believe astronomical accuracy creates the most meaningful celestial resonance.
How do I find my true sidereal signs?
Our free 13-sign natal chart calculator uses NASA JPL ephemeris data to show you exactly which constellations held each planet at your birth, based on IAU constellation boundaries. Calculate your chart now.
Using the Frequency Forecast Toolkit
Is my personal data stored when I use the dashboard?
No. Frequency Forecast is a "Privacy-First" platform. You can use our real-time tools and generate your celestial data anonymously. We only store data if you choose to create a free account to save your location and custom settings for future visits.
Does Frequency Forecast provide daily horoscopes?
We do not provide traditional horoscopes or character interpretations. Instead, we provide raw celestial data and environmental frequency monitoring. We empower you with accurate information so you can make your own determinations based on how these frequencies resonate with your unique experience.
